Frequently Asked Questions

When do I have to enter by?

2019 entries close 1 August so make sure you have logged in and uploaded as much content as possible before then.

Can I add more information once i have entered?

Yes, you can log back into your account at any time up until entries close to add new content.

Why do I need to create a User Account & an Artist page?

Users can create multiple Artists. Also, Users do not need to be a member or part of the Artist (eg a User might be a band manager). As the platform develops, Users and Artists will have diverging features.

Can I enter more than once?

Yes but restrictions apply, check them out in the Terms.

How will you contact me to tell me how we're going in the competition?

You will be contacted by either group email, personal email, or phone call (if you include your phone number on your User Account)

Can I enter to competition if I'm enrolled in a university or institution that is not part of the Tertiary Access Group (TAG)?

Possibly. Please email us with your situation. The outcome depends on which institution you are enrolled in, and which city you live in, so please provide those details when getting in touch.

What if my music is in demo form, and not ready to be published to the public?

All tracks uploaded to an Artist Page will be published for site users to listen to. If one of your tracks is a demo, we suggest adding a suffix - eg "Demo Version" - to the track name.

When will the Final be held?

The 2019 Final will be held in September, 2019.

Who will get through to the Final?

Six submissions will go through to the Final. Four submissions from across both categories (LIVE and EMP) will be selected by a panel of industry judges to go through to the Live Final Event. The remaining two spots at the Final will be determined by Wild Card, public voting - one submission from each category.
