Rod Coote

Rod Coote is an Australian singer-songwriter based in Newcastle and is set to release his debut album 'Golden Hour' in June this year. At age 21, the indie-folk artist has released four singles that have been positively embraced by listeners not only in Australia but also internationally including countries such as the UK, USA and NZ.
Rod's dreamy vocals accompanied with acoustic strings and soft piano established his unique sound that his fans have all loved and embraced. With his music being heavily influenced by Australian indie-folk artists such as Dean Lewis, Dustin Tebbutt, Harrison Storm , Ziggy Alberts & Riley Pearce, his songs are both soothing & uplifting for his listeners.
His soulful lyrics heard in 'Young Days' and 'Whats the wait', explore his personal experiences of love and youth. Where as his debut single 'Comet' & second release 'Moonlight' illustrate his fascination with astrology, space and time. Rod regularly plays shows along the East Coast of Australia including his first headline show at the renowned music venue 'Lizottes' on May 8th. Further he has played as the support act for iconic bands such as Chocolate Starfish. Rod is yet to announce his Australian tour locations and dates for his upcoming album but it can be expected to commence in Winter this year.
