The Drools

The Drools

After a two year long hiatus, The Drools, return with a bag full of new songs that are concisely emotive and punctuate a point more readily. Praised for their energetic live performances, which saw the band share the stage with the likes of Dune Rats, Skegss and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, focus has been turned inward on sculpting better songs and translating that to record. 'Own Medicine', comes as the first release from the band since their hiatus, just registering in at over 2 minutes. The song is a punchy snapshot into their rebranded rock - hard, fast and earnest. Garage around the edges and stadium in the middle, the band neatly handles class and grit all at once, bouncing big guitar sounds under unfettered vocals, held within the confines of a heavy rhythm section. Their sights set on two follow up singles and an EP release, 2019 will see The Drools reach out of their comfort zone and continue to define their place in the Australian rock landscape.
