Aussie punks dave are a right old stitch up - loveable larrikins that’ll give you a rollicking good time and a dusty hangover. With a reputation for an intense live show, dave’s brand of high voltage rock’n’roll is as hard hitting as it is infectious. 2017 was a massive year for the boys, releasing the mini-album ‘YOCH! Bangers Vol. 1’. Hi-octane bangers Take It All and Rock n Roll were both added to high rotation on Triple J’s Unearthed Radio, while the catchy, chill- rocker Eggiwegs came in at number 18 for FBi Radio’s top played tracks of 2017. The track also made a podium finish on Sydney music and arts publication Happy Mag’s Top 100, voted third best song of the year. 2018 will see the release of dave’s fourth EP, Never Yoch Alone. With a more melodic and mature sound, the EP nods to 90’s indie-rock nostalgia, with an unassuming feel that dave fans will know and love. The first offering off the release, Juice (out 11 May), features playful lyrics referencing Louis Theroux, Cuba Gooding Jr and John Travolta. No strangers to hitting the road, the boys have toured relentlessly over the past two years. With multiple dates in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and surrounding areas, dave have hit the stage with the likes of You Am I, British India, Dune Rats, The Hard Aches and Bootleg Rascal as well as playing events such as No Worries Festival Moruya (Touch Sensitive, The Vanns), Raave Tapes Shut Down The Argyle House (Good Boy, Kwame) and The Cambridge Hotel’s Boxing Day Party (Dear Seattle, Rackett, Maddy Jane). The hard yards are beginning to pay off for the band, with dave establishing themselves as a blistering, rock’n’roll punk act that crowds froth over.
